The Director of
the PetrOmbudsman Department, Mihai Berinde, was decorated by the President of
Romania, Klaus Iohannis, with the Order of Romania’s Star in the rank of
Knight. The honor was bestowed as a sign of high esteem for the significant
contribution to the protection and stimulation of competition on the Romanian
market.
Mr. Mihai Berinde held the position of President of the Competition Council and
led the process for developing the administrative capacity of the Competition
Council and ensuring the necessary conditions for Romania's accession to the
European Union, on this chapter.
The National Order of Romania’s Star is the highest Romanian order, rewarding
exceptional civil and military services to the state and the Romanian people.
